TXO treats all requests for community and charitable support with the utmost importance.

This policy has been put in place to ensure we achieve the maximum impact with the support we give by creating structure and guidance – ensuring we maximise engagement with our employees, customers and other stakeholders at a local, regional and international level.

Community & charity of the year partnerships

  • TXO will select up to 5 community and/or charitable partnerships per year
  • TXO’s community & charitable activity should be focused on these organisations
  • We will develop these relationships where possible through in-kind support and a donation, raising awareness of our support of these organisations both internally and externally
  • Other community & charitable giving will continue on a local basis, as happens now

Criteria for community & charity of the year partnerships

  • They must be a registered charity or a community club/organisation
  • Their purpose should align with TXO’s values (i.e. focused, trusted and dynamic)
  • They should enhance our reputation as a responsible company
  • They should not support any extremist, political or religious causes
  • Consideration should be given to the community & charitable causes that are supported by our employees or those that our employees indicate they are particularly passionate about

Focus areas

Our priority will be to support community and charitable partners that make a positive difference in the following 6 focus areas:

  1. Telco & education – improving accessibility and developing people to be the best they can be
  2. Community – encouraging our people to get involved in their local communities and at the same time developing their skills
  3. Health – improving people’s health and wellbeing, raising awareness and promoting understanding
  4. Sustainability & circular economy – we’re a company that acts in an environmentally conscious way in everything we do
  5. Equality – if we want to build a better society, it is essential we take action
  6. International – we are an international company with a global impact

Employee fundraising

  • If employees are doing a personal challenge or event and fundraising, they will be encouraged to support one of TXO’s community and charity of the year partnerships (as detailed above)
  • Approval may only be given once it has been verified that the organisation in question meets our criteria

Process for application

To be fair to all we have a simple 3 step process.

  1. We have an easy-to-use application form, open to TXO Group employees only
  2. Applications will be reviewed by our community & charity policy committee (CCPC)
  3. Where successful, the TXO Group employee will be appointed as our representative for liaising with the community & charity of the year partner

Governance

We operate under a proper and effective governance structure to protect our contribution to our purpose, brand and to our relationships with regulators and other lawmakers, as well as our partners. We have set up a working group, called the community & charity policy committee (CCPC), to review this policy and agree upon the selection of charities. To maintain impartiality, members of the CCPC are not eligible to apply for support.
