TL 9000 is the telecom industry’s unique extension to ISO 9001. It includes supplemental requirements over and above the ISO Management System including recording metrics so that a company can benchmark its performance for improvement, providing quality measurement data to a central repository and addressing communications between telecom network operators and suppliers. The standard was developed by the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications Forum (QuEST Forum).
