This equipment may be far older than us, but we can still source it!

PSTN stands for Public Switched Telephone Network. Using underground copper wires, this legacy platform has been used for communication since the late 1800s. Despite enormous technological advances, PSTN is still widely used in public networks and large organisations across the world today.

Here at TXO, we understand the importance of maintaining legacy telecom systems. This is why we hold supplies of rare and discontinued telecoms platforms. When an outage occurs, let us alleviate costly issues quickly by dispatching a cost effective PSTN replacement part.

PSTN network infrastructure we can supply

Common systems where we have a very comprehensive breadth and depth of stock includes Nortel DMS 100, Marconi System X, Ericsson AXE10, Lucent 5ESS, Alcatel S12 and E10 as well as Siemens EWSD (Elektronisches WaehlSystem Digital). At one time Siemens claimed that they performed switching for 160 million subscriber lines in 100 countries.

Commonly supplied parts for the Nortel DMS PSTN system include NT6X40GA and NTRX50NL. For Lucent 5ESS, we commonly assist with UN375F and UN375E (SP3QADR and SP3QADC).

Asset recovery services

Increasingly, global operators in Europe and in the USA require onsite dismantling and decommissioning services for PSTN equipment. Our team is very familiar with the specific requirements of such projects, both domestically and internationally. If you would like our help to de-install and monetise the items you no longer need, please get in touch.
