Alcatel/Nokia 7750 SR Repair

The Alcatel now Nokia 7750 SR (Service Router) is a multi-service edge router supporting layer 3 routing. It is also used by telcos, ISPs and enterprises for data centre interconnect and as an aggregation router in the mobile network. The platform has undergone considerable evolution with the SR-e series still current portfolio. Several different sized chassis are available including SR-1, SR-4, SR-7 and SR-12. Generally the larger carrier cards such as the IOM (Input/ Output Module) are referred to as cards whereas the smaller pluggable adapter modules bearing the physical interfaces are known as MDAs (Media Dependant Adapter).
