Ciena 6500 Repair Services
The Ciena 6500 platform is used by almost all of the world’s top telcos for longhaul DWDM infrastructure and cards for this system can be repaired at our repair centre. It is used for both terrestrial and submarine optical transport. It is also used extensively by social media companies and the like to provide connectivity to the hyperscale datacentre using their own private optical networks. It supports legacy TDM as well as WDM and Ethernet at 10 Gbps, 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps. Repair of Ciena 6500 equipment is provided by our repair centre. This system is commonly used in conjunction with Ciena CPL.
TXO has the engineering capability to test, screen and repair cards belonging to the Ciena 6500 platform. The reference system is used to determine faults and to carry out post-repair testing. This includes 100G card and the associated 10 x 10 Mux card with part code NTK529 which provides the 10 client-side interfaces and multiplexes them for 100 G transport. Detailed test spec documents are provided to customers which set out our testing protocols including traffic testing.
