Ericsson’s RBS 6601 is a base station platform that’s been designed to deliver reliable, robust GSM and LTE performance in indoor and outdoor situations.
The platform is divided between a central unit and a remote radio unit, and the package delivers the same high performance levels you’d expect from a macro base station in a smaller package with lower power requirements.
The Ericsson RBS 6601 features full support for GSM, WCDMA and LTE, and up to 12 of those remote radio units can connect to each main unit – so you can easily build a versatile network to fit any site. The power supply in the main unit matches its power output to your network requirements, which makes your network more efficient and cost-effective.
The radio units can be installed close to antennae, so your network will experience less feeder loss, and the radio units are available in two models – one with support for a single 1 Tx branch and another with support for two.
The main unit fits inside any 19-inch rack system, indoors or outdoors, and the radio units are easy to install on towers, poles or walls – so expect plenty of versatility when planning your network.
