Telecom network equipment identification services

Here at TXO, we’re experts at providing our customers with complete visibility and control of their telecom network assets.

Do you have live telecom sites with unidentified hardware consuming power and costing you excessive OPEX? Do you know exactly where to find the spare parts you need to maintain your network, 100% of the time without fail? We can help. Equally, if you’re not completely sure, our team can give you the answers.

On-site identification

Our on-site identification services can reduce your OPEX by identifying and cataloguing telecom network equipment, particularly if the hardware is traffic-free but still consuming power and therefore wasting your money. As part of this service, we’ll conduct a full audit of all infrastructure currently deployed within your sites. This will cover items such as:

  • Health and safety risk assessments
  • Type of equipment (manufacturer and platform)
  • The number of cabinets, subracks, cards, power units, fan trays, etc.

From this survey, we’ll compile a detailed report containing information on rack identities, full OEM part numbers of all active infrastructure, quantities of parts, resale potential of the live inventory and recycling revenues and costs. You will have complete visibility & control of your assets via our secure online customer portal which is called i-TRAC.

De-installing equipment

For some of our customers, our identification service alone fulfils their requirements. For others, they opt for our de-installation service in combination. If your survey leads to a de-installation project we will go further with our on-site identification assessment, including:

  • How the cabinets are fixed to the wall and floor
  • Length of bolts and how much work is required to cut bolts, etc.
  • Cabling to the cabinets (i.e. are cables able to be cut rather than removed and do they still have power running into them?)
  • Access to and from the site (i.e. where in the building is the equipment, how far away is it from a lift/loading bay and is there sufficient clearance to extract the hardware?)
  • And more, because we understand that every project is unique and we prepare accordingly

With a de-installation project there are several possible outcomes for your equipment, to ensure you recover the maximum residual value:

Resale: As the No. 1 alternative to the OEM, we are experienced in remarketing equipment to our extensive network of purchasers from global OEMs, operators, enterprises and trade sales. Every item will undergo thorough refurbishment before it is resold.

Reuse: A benefit of our consignment model is that you can recall any parts that you may still require for your own reuse purposes. You will have full visibility and control via the i-TRAC customer portal.

Recycling: We maintain a sustainable approach to our network de-installation projects. Where possible we recycle locally rather than transporting scrap materials. All items are disposed of safely and responsibly, in line with regulatory legislation.
